Downpipes

Post by Stratman »

I can never decide if these are steel or stainless? Taken mine off and wire brushed all the crud etc so down to fairly shiny metal. They soon go brown again, so whats the best thing to do? If they are mild steel then perhaps some black exhaust/high temperature paint, but if they are stainelss then this won't work.

What have others done?

I remember "ooing" when I saw these before - I think a polishing kit is the way to go themn - and an excuse to buy yet another little gadget!

i emailed abba today and the band said they cannot make a stand to fit the firestrom to take the swinger off.

so i emailed the company and they said the same thing, but it looks like it can be adapted slightly

Baz,

I made that one myself about 3yrs ago especially for the VTR, but I think Abba do make adapters to fit the Firestorm so you can use their normal swingarm pivot point stand,

Chris.

Bear in mind these pivot on the swingarm pivot so are as useful as a one edit legged ahem edit man in an butt kicking competition if you want to remove the swingarm
