Street fighter comfort kits?

Post by Hanuman »

Hi gang - I'm thinking about keeping my firestorm afterall and spending cash modifying it.

I'm looking at some handlebars as I dont think the clip ons are a great idea at all for the firestorm and havent a clue why honda went with them (SP1-2 understandably).....

can anyone shed more light on whats available? so far i'm looking at the following; http://www.streetfighterstore.com/acata ... 000cc.html page down past the CBR R and SP1/2.... looks a good kit.

cheers

Fairing looks a bit odd on that pic.i went with converti-bars,very well put together kit and totally adjustable to your requirements.Give them a check.

http://www.convertibars.com/FitYourBikeDetail.cfm

Or you could try helibars, but they don't have the adjustability of the converti-bars.

If it ain't broke, fiddle with it!

Alternatively try carrying some heavy shopping home and lug my wife's suitcase about for a while and you'll save yourself the money

My long arms find the clip-ons very comfortable thank you :)

(mind you they still don't reach to the bottom of m pockets :) :) )
I've got an inferiority complex
But its not a very good one!

it aint the weight on the wrists, that aint a problem, it's simply the position. I can sit up with my arms fairly straight & keep up with GSXR's in the twisties so why should I hunch over and tuck my elbows in? I have a hayabusa for hunched over speed freaking - I want to relax up on the VTR and would prefer the straight back... I have no use for clip ons basically on the firestorm.

The convertibars are what' about 200ukp + carriage? Could be worse!

There are the Gilles range.
Seehttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... &rd=1&rd=1

See this pic for them with the additional riser section available as an extra

Early vfr 750 bars fit straight on (just one small hole to drill) and sit higher than standard bars. Your wallet will be more comfortable splashing out a tenner to a breaker than 200 to streetfighters.
