Fork Conversion
HI,
Does anybody have any recommendations on what forks fit from other bikes? Also is it an easy job to do?
Thanks!

or blade 929 upsidedowners will fit in with some work(what i have)but you'll need everything from the front of that bike, front wheel, brake calipers, front forks and top/bottom yolks, also you'll need some new bars such as heli-bars or converti-bars

Ok this is most likelly the stupidest question ive ever asked but ive been reading up on this recently!
My fork seals have blown (yes yes too many monos) and will need doing, ive read several posts where the user writes about how a frontend from an early blade is a straight swap (bar an axle and spacers) and that the currant VTR end can be sold for the same price as the blade thus making it a free mod?
Also dont ZXR750 forks drop straight in? i believe they are USD's too???? If so has anybody got any info or comments on them? Ive ridden the ZXRs and always liked the front end BUT they were so front end heavy wheelies were a mission! As i love wheelies so much i dont want to be adding lots of weight to the front end!
sorry for the length post/HJ

I'm nearly certain '97/'98 blade forks fit straight in but you need to use a cbr 600 5 spoke wheel with axle and spacers(the blade wheel is only a sixteen inch wheel) also meaning you need an rrx blade rear wheel to match the front, but this fits straight in with the storm axle and spacers.

Changing the springs for ones more suited to your weight and riding style will certainly be an improvement over stock springs also putting a heavier fork oil in should bring things under control a bit more.
For springs your talking £60 and fork oil isn't expensive at all, also factor in new fork seals and the labour if you aren't capable yourself, all in at a ball park figure of £150.
Your other option is to have your forks rogered at revolution racing,he will customise the forks to you and does a ride in ride out service as far as i know, all that for £250
