I'm in love again!!!

With another 'V' twin. Shock horror probe.

Went the the MCN Excel, Docklands bike show today and sat over loads of bikes, but one really fitted well with that just-feels-right fit. Looks fabulous.
What was it?

The Ducati 1098!

I had just tried a Honda CBR600 and that is made for midgets (I'm 6' 2"). My elbows were resting on my knees, literally.
The Ducati looked stupid when the 'tiny brigade' sat over it. Too long a stretch for them ha ha. What a shame.
So I guess I should have it instead of them then................ I wish!!!
Just read a report on it that says its fuel consumption is poor and it may only do 90 miles to the tank. Err, is that unusual then say us FireStorm owners?
Quote "That's hopeless if the 1098 is to be anything more than a trinket"
They also complain of the poor view from the mirrors too. Ditto 1000F normal form.

And where has this "heightism" appeared from?

At 5' 7" and an extra half inch (don't knock it, it can come in useful) I can appreciate that taller and some shorter riders feel many bikes uncomfortable. I can adapt to most, being of perfect height and proportion, save for giant traillie type things where my legs dangle in mid air!
Two bikes, still only four cylinders!
