Saturday evening I decided to change the plugs on the SP1 (been meaning to do it for ages.... Righto..Tried to get the stem nut off (even had a 30mm socket bought specially for the job)...no way was the bar-steward gonna move (the bike has just come back from Honda, they replaced the headstock bearings under warranty) so I guess they had used an air wrench to tighten the nut ugger, bugger. Screen off, bloody great breaker bar, the nut finally shifts. Steering damper off, tank lifted.
Now then, has anyone ever tried to lift a spark plug out of a SP1 without taking the tank off totally? If not, then don't bother unless you are a gynacologist. Finally got the bugger out, new one in. Bloody spark plug socket keeps getting stuck on the spark plug Poxy little bit of rubber that grips the plug was too tght/!

Right front cylinder. fairing off, oil cooler off, mudguard off. Gynacologist practice again. At this stage it is 11:45 and I am freezing my 'nads off in the garage so call it quits.
Sunday...finish off, leathers on out for a spin to Devils Bridge (the plugs made a surprising difference, getting rid of a bit of wooliness when low down).
Come home, bike up on paddock stands to give it a wash. I turn around to pick up a rag, then crash. The fugger had toppled off the poxy stands onto its side. FU

I am a jammy bast$%rd....a scratched bar end and swingarm and thats all the damage (the bike has Gilles rearsets fitted which dont fold up....they act like crash bungs).
