Manifold studs-outcome.

Well, the whole point of having a bike is to ride it.

I couldn't get the studs to budge, various sockets,blow lamp,SAS penetrating oil,etc.

I have had to get my father-in-law to weld extensions to the remaining studs<10mm> and then pack out with washers over the weld and then fresh bolts to pull it down.

Not the prettiest remedy but i can now ride the bike and thats the most important bit.

Well with the week i've had with these exhaust studs i'm pleased to say all is well.

The newly polished headers are back on, brand new Fuel Exhaust end cans on and nothing is blowing

Went for a short ride and these cans look great and sound brill with the baffles out, good value too.

Last week when the bolts sheared off all was doom and gloom, now all is good again

What a difference a week makes.

And the help you get off this forum is second to none

Thanks for your thanks - since I posted I've sheared off a valve cover bolt

But when my Ezee Outs arrive from Screwfix tomorrow and I've fixed it, I too will feel fine about it all again

There is always a "workaround" for these things and they make it all the more satisfying IMHO.
