ATT KAZ and skidmarx bellypan-ers, quite important

Post by KarlosVTR »

hi i have just bought the same lower fairings as you but it didnt come with a fitting kit. i was wondering if you could loan me the brackets you have for a short while so i can make some of my own. looking at it, its gonna be way easier to get copies made than to work out how the b8stard fit otherwise

thanks in advance

The lowers look similar to the skidmarkz (sp?) one but it's difficult to tell looking at Kaz's avitar picture.
If it is then give them a bell and they will sell you a fitting kit for about £10, certainly not worth the hassle of making another.
I used to have a similar one fitted to mine and sorted a kit out at the NEC.

Hope this helps

Karlos, deffo a skidmarks pan, any good fabricator should be able to make you a fitting kit easy as pie! Just measure everything up, grab a yellow pages and ride over with drawings in hand :-)

Even better if kaz could take some photos for you of the brackets to show the fabricators?

well i have a full engineering workshop with cnc machines and stuff at my disposal, im a 3d mechanical design engineer and so making copies will certainly not be a problem what so ever

so if i had a loan of someones brackets, i could get some drawn up and made really easily

that goes for just about anything else too

Why not half paint it black in a similar way to the 50th Anniversary CBR900, it's hard to explain but use a diagonall (sp?) line starting low and finishing higher at the rear.
If you want to see what a full black belly pan looks like on a red bike I'll post a couple to the photos section with my carbon copy that I used to have fitted to my old VTR.

Many years ago I got ART to copy the skidmarkz one out of carbon and it looked loads better in carbon, still not perfect but OK, I quite liked the Harris one that was similar but with better lines.

Hope this helps.
