Noisey Clutch

Just bought my first VTR and happy with it apart from the noisey clutch. Is this common on VTRs or do I have a problem. Any info would be appreciated.

mine makes a noise when it goes into top gear a sort of kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh noise

but only in top , i thought it might be something to do with the rod which activates the clutch

by the way i know kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh might sound a bit diffrent on here

but its the noise it makes

If it's a sort of rattle thats there when idling and goes away when you pull the clutch in then yes, thats fairly normal.

Nosiy clutch hmmm well thats not a good OMEN

i didnt that storm clutches were known for rattling,
there can however somtimes be a clunk when engaging 1st gear.

my clutch rattles at a standstill when its not pulled in , but works perfect otherwise so i wouldnt worry.

Just did a quick search for this subject.........i am new here too and was wondering about a slight clutch rattle when idling that goes when u pull the lever in......sounds like its a common prob.....not just with storms but other big hondas too. ( i have a friend with a blade that does the same thing )

Yep, rattles a bit until lever pulled in, always has, both engines.

Well, they did try to copy the 916 a bit didn't they!
