NooB says....

Post by mak595 »

....Hello

The story so far...after getting pi55ed off with paying too much to insure a gixxer thou, i thought i'd sell it and get a cheaper bike.... enter a sorry looking red storm off ebay, bit of crash damage, big hole in fairing, square tyres, leaking fork seals, butchered seat, going furry etc,etc but some nice goodies, blade forks, spondon yokes, ohlins damper, dynojetted, K & N, fuel cans, sharkskin lower and it was cheap

Anyway getting it ready for spring now, stuck a penske in the back, new fork seals, oil, filter, pads, bleed brake's etc. swopped spondon clip ons for T595's as the spondon ones were to low and caught the fairing, black frame & arm, black bodywork. here's a pic so far:

Hope to see some of you at Knott end/devil's bridge/Hawes/Hartside cafe/TT or maybe if roger has another dyno day, gate crashed a few years ago with my T595.... which roger ended up rebuilding after a sparkplug committed suicide

Cheers, Mark

That is starting to look nice mate, stepping down from a Gixxer litre must be a bit painful though?

Too be honest, for the roads we have round here, the storm's more "fun" if you get my drift. Gixxer had 157bhp at the wheel, bit mental really 8O plus i have a dirtbike as well

Fair one matey, where i live a GSXR 1000 makes a whole lot of sense!! An Sp-1 tends to run out of top end as the Porsches come flying by! Although it does itself proud on the twisties
