Springtime almost here

Post by Monkey! »

Went on a little ride to Louth yesterday to get measured for a set of Crowtree leathers. New back tyre on and guess what- rain all the way. Tiptoeing along.

But after a couple of hours getting measured and drinking tea, the sun was shining, and the blast back to Sheffield through Market Rasen, Gainsborough etc was "most satisfying". Shame they've stuck some blanket 50mph limits in places- anyone know if SPECS cameras can get you on a bike by seeing you with the exit camera for the other direction and the start one at the other end? I don't think they can?????

And on the same subject, the b&st@rds have stuck a 50 limit on the Snake Pass. All the way from above Ladybower Reservoir to Glossop. Next thing they'll have the Cat and Fiddle spotter plane up and spying on me!

I may be mad but at least I'm not dead. Yet. And long may that be so.

I agree it definitely feels like the b8stard are closing in on us.

In Swindon they've just opened a new junction on the A419. The road is dead straight dual carriage way. True to form they've slapped a 40 restriction on it, with a sign saying SPEED LIMIT RETAINED FOR YOUR SAFETY :x :x :x

No doubt about it, this country is in the grip of the nanny state. All those nasty Little Hitler town clerke types from the 70s and 80s are now running the country.
She's my idea of beauty and thats what I ride.
