Pilot road 2

Had a new tyre fitted on the front today, gone with a Michelin Pilot road 2.

Had to put one on to 'match' the rear so we'll see how it goes tomorrow, weather permitting.

According to MCN its very good in the wet and lasts well, we'll see

Although i'm not a knee down rider so i suppose i'll just square it off like the others

Is that the dual compound Michelin?

I hope it suits the bike OK.

I say now that this is MY opinion so I'm not trying to knock anyones choice OK?

I just don't like it when they say a tyre 'lasts well'. I'd rather have grip over longevity & I mean the old CZ Barum tyres lasted well. About 20,000 miles + but grip.................. Ummm.

Hope MCN are right then. In the Lotus car world they are known as Michelin Pile-ups!

admittedly, these are last years 2CT sticky tyres, but Michelin pilot bike tyres are good.

I went out on the bike yesterday and put the tyre through a similar test

Early days i know but felt good and gave confidence

Dual compound tyres dont work for me, probably because I never get off the centre part
