non drip/quick release fuel coupling
non drip/quick release fuel coupling
Has anyone tried one of these devices, just found one in motrax magazine in motorcycle news and it seams like a good idea as i find it a git to lift the tank and get fingers to the pipe under the tank and some times there is still slight vacume so that petrol still comes out when you remove pipe.?
If it aint fixed don't break it.

Sorry to be pedantic, but there is either a vacuum or there isn't, you can't have a slight vacuum. Bit like people say "quite unique". It either is or it isn't.
Its far more likely to be fuel in the pipes going to the carbs rather than the vacuum valve. I don't even bother to turn the fuel tap off when removing the tank etc as the diaphragm keeps the fuel tap shut. If it doesn't thenit could be leaking/perished and should be replaced anyway. Abou £25 for a kit from Mr Honda.

Two bikes, still only four cylinders!

I know what ya mean i dont turn it off ever but once it did decide to keep coming out of def the tank p-----g out i had just turned it off tho never done it again always wait a bit after stopping engine now.suppose would be a good idea to take the vacume pipe off first !
