Push bike stuff this time, but this bike computer would be a good buy for someone wishing to check out their correct speed (if not using a Speedo Healer) and has a clock etc. I assume it can be programmed for all sizes of wheels like the Sigma BC range.
The first aid kit is OK if you missed the last m/bike one.

Got the Bike Computer today.
Anyone else got one?
Looks like it's wireless between the sensor (on the fork) and the display on the bars.
Only thing is, I THINK it only does KMPH and not MPH (unless there are other models)
Can't see it as a problem as you should be able to compensate by different radius to get MPH.... No?

Thanks for replying (I thought we'd all be rushing out to buy one but looks like it's only me?)LotusSevenMan wrote:Saw these in a Lidls today and they had not one but three versions! Most of these have a variation possible (like my Sigma BC1600 one) by multiplying the figure by 1.61 I think it was to get MPH.
Well, I went to my local store and you had to ask at the checkout. I was shown two of them. The one (same as in the advert) and a round one, which looked a bit silly IMHO, but then again, it did look like a wheel!
I've no doubt, I can thru settings get it to give an accurate MPH reading, even though it will say Km/h next to the figure.
I just wondered if there were any TRUE mph models, as seems a bit unusual to have a (officially) K/mh speedo version/display in the UK.
Here's a photo of the one I bought, as you can see on the upper right hand of the package, the km/h sign.

As a little follow up.
God, there are some cheeky feckers out there, with todays £4.99 bike computer:

Hi! Yes it does have MPH. I've now added a detailed photo of one unit I've used on my bike. I've also updated the description page with a full list of all the functions.

Looks like it'll be OK for you Tempest (as long as the sun shines with a solar one!!)

Cheers for doing that. Top Man
Actually, I gave up waiting and found out myself to my pleasure that, yes, indeed it does do MPH.
Actually it does a HELL OF A LOT. mighty impressed with it. You input your Age, Weight, etc, and it will do Calories burned, average speeds, timers, ect ect ect.
I even got it fitted up on my Storm as the magnet (that goes on the wheel) magically is a tight fit in the holes on the front disk (the ring holes)
But, guess what......................
It's now on my Bicycle.
Why you ask?
Cos (and it did warn you on the packaging) the Strorm is giving out so much electrical interference that you just get an error message on it's screen with the engine running, unless you hold it at arms length away from the bike whilst sitting on it.
So, Excellent, great bit of kit at a bargain price, but won't work on the Storm due to electrical interference (poss ok on some bikes)?
Great Shame..
