I fried a Metzeler M1 rear in 2000 miles last year.
My record though was 1100 miles on a ZX6.
I can't belive how some guys get so many miles out of tyres...... How????
Mind you, there's a guy at work who regularly gets 40,000 out of fronts on his car. I never get more than 10,000. Maybe a pattern is emerging????

Monkey!
I may be mad but at least I'm not dead. Yet. And long may that be so.

Unless you're doing motorway slogging on race tyres, you'll get a massive boost.
Good deals to be had at the moment with new ranges coming out. I reckon older model Dunlops will be the best deals as they've replaced all the uber sticky rubber with new stuff. Never run 208's or similar though, so don't know whether they'll be any good.
I'm debating what my next set will be (I only got these as a superb part worn deal to replace my stuffed rear) Can't decide to go for brand new Pilot Road 2 or BT021 (theory being that brand new tech touring tyres will be as grippy as old more racey tyres - with added mileage) or go for some Avon Vipers (sticky racey tyres that have had the most good things said about them by people I know)
My current 014's are on about 1500 miles, with plenty left in them.

Voted most likely to be found dead in park bushes following an act of autoerotic asphyxiation.

well i have had 7k out of a 020 on a bandit 600 and that was average what i have found the harder you squeeze the on/off switch in the right hand you use more rubber you use and i dont drive at 20 everywhere but i dont go howling down the streets either

I only wish I'd paid attention to when I put this one on...

Realised it was not looking the best when I was 150km from home, on top of a rather twisty mountain with a titan of a pillion... Hmmm... Very careful ride home (since it was Good Friday & not a lot of options for urgent tyre replacements...). Then a 100km ride the next morning to get a newy.
I've used Pilot Powers for ages now & been more than happy with them. This time I've gone the new Pilot Power CT (I think it's CT...). Bit harder in the middle since I'm doing more highway riding now, but still sports soft on the sides. Sounds like what I'm used to but better

If you ate yourself would you become twice as big or simply disappear?
