My first brand new bike. I rode from Peterborough to Stevenage and giggled all the way, i mean properly laughing in my helmet. Never have i been on a such a mad machine. The SP1 is still in the garage at home and tomorrow i ride back to Germany on this new 'thing'. It is truly mind blowing. It has the torque of the SP at low revs and goes beserk at around 5000rpm and into hyperspace mode. I am limiting myself to 7000rpm at the moment for break in purposes and am doing an oil change halfway along the route at a mates house.
Keeping the SP for the mo', hoping for a better tuner to give me a better diagnosis and fix. I don't really want to sell a bike to a fellow biker knowing that it is hooped. Would rather pass it on to a good home safe in the knowledge that it will be loved the same way i loved it.
My mate at JACexhausts did twin multicolour tri-ovals for one last week and I thought it looked quite cool.
The original left side connector is a horrendous design to clear the sidestand!
NICE that should be a sweet ride...Is that one of them invisible side stands on that piccy. I just had an insurance quote on a ZX10r and am VERY VERY tempte just strugglin with the idea of a green bike
Yum! Tastie
Hope you had a good spin back to germany. Ha! limit yourself to 7K I'll bet that's somewhere around 140-150 ish Not a bad running in speed if you ask me
Well i think i took your advice. I am now back in germany, a little sore but with a big grin stapled to my face. That bike is pure lunacy! "run it in at 6-4k rpm" they said in the shop! Huh, the thing spins up so quickly, even in top, that i hit 10000 more than a few times. I don't think that i was overtaken once on the whole 450 mile trip.
Calais to Gutersloh -- 4 hours with 2 fuel stops. Hope the police don't get me
I just can't get over the way it accelerates.... awesome
