Bridgestone bt 021's

Post by SILVER ZIPPER »

Had these tyre's fitted Saturday before the rideout.
100 odd mile's two up felt really good but took it steady to scrub them in.
Sunday nice ride up to Rivy over Cat and fiddle and about 80 miles motorway.
Today went to oulton bsb wet thier wet back.
These tyre's are great,They gave me plenty of confidence in the wet, enough to come back over cat and fiddle and enjoy the ride in the rain.
These new boot's have Zipper's approval 8)

I'd also rate the Avon Storm ST. I had these put on before Matlock and they've been great.

As for mixing an 014 front and an 021 rear, I'd reckon it'd be fine in the dry, but I'm not so sure in the wet as the 014's can be a bit slippy. The rear's grip might make you think you have more than you've got on the front. I dunno if I'd trust it. (IMO as a non-tyre tech too)

I've recently had the new Pilot Power CT put on the back (with a standard Pilot Power still on the front). Done some wet & dry since & it's been great. Just a bit harder compound in the middle than the Power, but the same on the sides. I'll be sticking to these for a while.

Glad you think they are OK, I had a pair put on last week but my reg/rec died so I haven't tried them yet.

Glad you're pleased with em Zipper. I'll probably get one for the rear when the 014 wears out (soon!).

Probably keep the 014 front for now though. I use it now and then with a Pirelli rear and it works OK, so it should be fine with a 021.

I ran an 014 front and an 020 rear on my last storm with no problems at all. Even did Brans Hatch with them.

The 021 is only an update of the 020!
