I went to Oulton Park yesterday for BSB about 80 miles from where i live. I stopped in Nantwich for fuel knowing i could make it the last few miles to the circuit and then home (Petrol station watching on the way not many about). Pulled in the bike park and parked next to a chap just dismounting from his Goldwing. his first words to me HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU STOPPED FOR FUEL just the once i reply ONLY COME FROM STOKE THEN (about 30 - 40 miles).
So our legendary touring ability is spreading !!!!

suprisingly, Goldwing tank is only 25 liter, so I do not know what he was joking about.
Well, next time that happens do not forget to tell Goldwing rider that for such behemoth Goldwing have smaller BY 4 LITER!!! thank than Pan European (29 l) and actually PanEuropean goes on for about 150 km after Goldwing is dry. Tested in real life.
In my last long tour we had 1 Goldwing and 2 Pans with us, and riders all were worn out on French alpine roads way before they ran out of fuel

I got 160 ish out of my vtr when i first got her, and that was 2 up, with fully loaded tank bag. filled up at petrol station at top of a15, just over the humber bridge, then did newark custom bike show, on to squires, then back to Hull. Very lucky though, engine spluttered as just approaching petrol station, did quick right turn in,and ran out at the pump
Might just add this though, it was running standard gearing, and was been very carefull with the wife on the back

lol, well the only other bike ive owned was an fzr600 genesis on a 91 plate, and i upgraded to the storm, imagine my delight

Could say i was getting used to the vtr too, which account for good mpg.
