had a weird electrical problem the other day on the way to squires , the speedo wouldnt work without the headlight turned on , turned it off and the speedo went dead, id power washed it a bit earlier on that day...... so could it of been that , and has anyone else had this problem?

I would never power wash a bike, tin boxes are ok as its all covered, but no way bikes. an exception may be moto crossers, but they have minimal electrics and are tore down after most races .
pressure washing kills bearings as it forces the grease out, also forces water in.
sounds like it is a headlamp off and check connections maybe the clocks might dry out if and when we get some sun again, to clear moisture there.

I dont make a habit of it , but I wanted to get rid of all the crud around the swingarm and bottom of the engine, it seems to be fine now though.
