Front Paddock Stand?

Post by Beast »

Right chaps, after a front yoke paddock stand.
Anyone know if anywhere has deals on selling these as they seem to be well over £60 notes.
Or do you know if someone is selling one.
Cheers. :)

i've got one of the micron ones that bolts onto the top of one of their rear stands, it only fits to the bike if i take the fairing off, not sure if this will be a problem for you, depends what your doing to the bike. it hits the part of the fairing under the headlight and stops you lifting the bike up.

A friend says the same about the micron stands, on certain bikes. :(

Looking at a abba superbike stand, can do away with both front and rear and just use a bottle jack to lift either end but they are on the expensive side. :?

yeah, and use the swing arm pivot point which means you can't take the pegs or the swing arm off. lol. if you can get someone to make one for you i might be able to send you sizes, Ben sent me a set, he can maybe do the same for you if i can't find mine.

hi, i also have that front micron stand that bolts to the rear.

I cant find anywhere that sells them since i bought mine off ebay.

I only got one pin with it, small end and a bigger end, is it one size fits all? or do micron sell other sizes?

Try this
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FRONT-HEADSTOCK-P ... dZViewItem

Or this

I've used one like the second one and it works with the bodywork on no probs

Jon,
You should be able to get one to the right dimensions made up very cheaply
Failing that Micron will sell you a variety of sizes
I've got an inferiority complex
But its not a very good one!

Jon, my stand came with about 3 different pins, and some additional collars to change sizes, i've also used a bit of screwed rod and a couple of nuts for my mates TL when we were doing some work on it.

Ah i see, the big end of each pin i take it is the same size? being the end that sits fairly tight into the stand.

And the smaller end of each of your 3 pins fits into the yoke?

i recon the pin i have should be ok,

cheers Stormin Ben i will email micron if the pin i have doesnt fit very well.
