Rear shock reconditioning

Where can i get this done? Also, will they recondition the outside of the shock or is it internals only?

What of shock are you talking about?
Std OEM or after market?

I can highly recommend Revs racing in halesowen (just west of birmingham)

Had my last 2 bikes shock striped, re-oiled &gassed, resprung and reassembled (even so called non-rebuildable ones)
Also my Dad & brother have each had 2 done and raved about the difference

Usually works out about the Â£120 mark which isnt cheap but it feels like a different beast afterwards

Haven't used them myself but K-Tech are supposed to have a good reputation as well. Might be worth a second quote.

Race Tech (the people who make the fork springs and Gold Valve kits) also offer a kit for the OEM shock. I have one installed in mine and it does seem to make an appreciable difference in its performance.

What's the general concensus on Elka Shocks in Canada? Have you heard of them or any opinions?

ive heard of Elka shocks they make em for quad bikes there a top bit of kit and there not cheap.

Guess what I had fitted last month

Well chuffed. I've had a good chance to play with it now and I can Honestly say it's transformed the feel of the bike. I've also replaced the front internals with some Hyperpro springs and oil and for a change my lardy ass isn't causing it to bottom out under extreme braking

Yeah i knew they made em for bikes but i think they started in off road first, my sons after a set for his quad but he will get discount as he works there (quad centre that is not elka) but they do look the bizness and to boot shiny anodized bits

Elka shocks are built not far from where I live (they are on the South shore of the St. Lawrence River, just outside Montreal). I have owned any of their stuff, but I hear it is top notch. It sure is "purrty" anyhow
