Calling all bellypan owners

Post by Stormin Ben »

Anyone got one of these type bellypans?

Image

I could do with a favour please.
I'm after a photo of the right (as you sit on the bike) rear mounting point/ bracket

Fitted my acquisition recently and took it for a test bimble last weekend
It now sports a very pretty scuff and is nearly holed following a handful of spirited roundabouts
I just want to verify it is fitted the right way round before I start faffing about to sort the problem

Cheers

Cheers Kev,

Thats the same as mine, although my rear one is canted back slightly
Maybe thats why your front one's too far forward?

Has your bellypan touched down BTW?

Ben, my belly pan hasn't touched down but i can't say that i've had the bike leant over as far as i imagine you might have, lol.

i bolted the pan on loose first and the front right one was about a half inch out, it seems to be sitting square on the bike, i made a spacer up from an old flat spanner.

Tattie...just one of those VTR rattles, i've lost numerous bolts from the pan even when thay are held on with nyloc nuts and thread lock, i think the new rear shock has jacked the back end up about 3mm and the bike is leaning over more on the side stand...thats my excuse for no oil and i'm sticking to it...
