Just a quick note, i've got an XTZ 750...eerrr yeh wrong forum i know.
Just about to change the reg rec over on it to one fron a VTR750, go figure it's one which me old man had lying around think i've got it sussed on how i'm going to fit it but while i was pulling the old one off i noticed that the wiring was a bit well tired i think might be an understantement.
Well now i think i'm going to go through the hassel of re-wiring the bike, does anyone have any recommendations of where to buy the wire? Halfords, local car shop or any ware on line, am i right in thinking that pretty much any 12V wire should be ok?
Also on the firestorm wiring loom i noticed that the reg rec has a green wire as apposed to a black? Am i right in thinking that this is a ground?
Call me mad but i don't think it should be that hard as long as i approach it slowly and methodiclly.
