Aftermarket air filters

Post by GRIFFO »

Has anyone used a DNA air filter in their Firestorm,?? Ive seen them advertised on ebay shops for around £49 and was wondering what they were like before i buy one. Its a bit cheaper than a K&N. Cheers..

My son has one in his quad there just like the k&n but cheaper you can get the dna filter kits aswell for cleaning & re oil. He works for a quad centre and they use them in all there race quads.

Dont know what there like for the storm though sorry.

Get it rejetted too. Although not strictly necessary it WILL pay for itself in the very short term

After fitting a pipercross filter & getting it jetted my fuel consumtion increased by 20%
Thereby saving £2.50 EVERY time I filled up with fuel

10 tankfulls = £25 saving
20 tankfulls pays for the filter
40 tankfulls (ie 4000 miles ish) pays for filter & jetting
etc etc
I've got an inferiority complex
But its not a very good one!
