misfire

Hi
I am new here and could do with some help or advice
After the front cct let go i have changed both front inlet valves plus gaskets and both ccts but now she has developed a misfire at 7000 rpm
she is also a bit of a pig at idle and seems very lumpy the miss appears more or less instantly and does not smooth out i have drained both carbs and pulled the carb breathers out so they hang in the wind but i am now out of ideas has any body got any ideas that i might try .the compression seems right and the valve timing also seems right

do you have a manual, and have you tried troubleshooting the electrics?

This bit of information could be a life saver as there is nothing like this mentioned in the haynes .I will strip it again(umpteenth time) and check it is right but as you have had the same probelm it probably isnt

Brilliant followed the links and hey presto she now pulls like a train again the timing was indeed 180 out but all is back to normal now
