Desperate help needed (from Del)
I have a major problem.......
Havnt used the storm for 1 week (shite weather), so been using the RD or the car.
Only problem is that seeing as the weather tomorrow isnt too bad, just started to get the bike gear ready, but oh alas, lost the key to the storm.......
Hunted high & low, no sign anywhere.......guess what, yup, no spare either......
i'm now open to reccomendations as to how to remedy this......
I'm guessing i'll need a new lock cylinder etc......where do i get one, (quickly), how much is this blunder gonna cost, & how easy is it to fit a new one.......
HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ps, Can you gis us a ring if you get a chance......

I dont suppose this will help but just in case,
When I purchased my bike secondhand from my local dealer (sold by him when new) I only had one key with it. Thanks to him he'd had the foresight to write the number of the ignition key on the Honda hand book when he first sold the bike. If you've got the original hand book check it to see if the key code has been written on it,
chris.

ps. Essexbloke, what year is your bike? If it has the Hiss system it would have been really expensive, you can't copy the keys, you have to go the the dealers to programme the key! wouldn't get much change out of £60!

Keys
I will look into the Yammy keys for ya and see what I can do. as far as the Focus is concerned, it has a transponder in it and will need a key with a chip in it. Some shoe repairers can do Ford keys, let me know exactly where you are and I'll try and put you in touch with one of my customers. They are not cheap mind you, about £25. Ford will charge a fair bit more. E-mail me a photo of the keys you want cutting and that'll help things along as well. Hope that helps!

Keys
Ok E.B. I'll have a look tmoz for ya.
Welshy, most cars after 1997 have transponders in the keys. Note they have nothing to do with central locking and key fobs, a popular misconception. E-mail me the year of your car and I will let you know how expensive it will be to get a duplicate key !
