hi
its completely effing stuck. once the castleated nut was removed i had a go at it with an alan key to no avail.
after the alan key socket was chewed up i tried plumbers grips which hasnt budged it at all
my next method will be welding a nut on to it to try and get it off.
is this the right course of action? any advice as usual is gratefully received

I seem to recall in Performance Bikes magazine a few years back one of the journos had a similar problem
From memory he removed the bolt and then inserted a hacksaw blade into the hole and cut a few slots in the mount
BEING CAREFUL TO ONLY GO AS FAR AS THE EXTERNAL THREADS IN THE FRAME
Then once it was in 3/4 pieces it could be prised out and the threads cleaned up with a thread tap
Hope this helps
