Reminds me of the time at the North West 200 we were sitting in the campsite - the exit road was beside us... These two lads go by on a bike... and he pulls a huge wheelie. The only problem was, the pillion must not have been paying attention because he fell off the back... His combats got caught on the back of the bike and he was dragged up the road for about 20 yards until it broke free. What was so amazing though was the driver carried on up the road, over a hump and out of sight. Combats-guy was lying on the ground but no one could get to him because of a high 'security' fence...but eventually got up. About a minute later, the bike comes hairing it back (obviously realised he dropped something), the lad jumps back on and they tear off!!! I'd say the both faces were red under those helmets! AT the time we were all in shock, but luckily the 2 lads seemed ok! Might need a new pair of combats though...(even if they werent ripped) :)

I knew a young lad (14) who had a go on the back of a friends Duc 916. Trouble was his long coat got caught on the rear wheel and was sucked under the seat unit having the effect of pulling him off the back but with his feet caught under the rear pegs. The chap riding noticed almost instantly and stopped but the young lad had been trapped and bent double with his back rubbing against the rear tyre. It had melted his jacket through and he ended up with major skin grafts etc. Not pretty!!!! :(

Jasus I would always check what people are wearing before even letting the near the back seat! In fairness a long coat is asking for trouble.

This is terrible: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/engl ... 250068.stm

Oh. My. God...

Words just don't cover it.

Back to 2003, but I dont remember ever hearing about it.

I'm really shocked by that story, and it takes a lot to shock me normally.

:? 8O :(

Wow. That's awful. My ex & I were all prepared to leave our wedding reception on his brother's Beemer (forgive me, but it was in a time before Storms...). The day before, someone relaid one of these stories to the brother so he decided we couldn't use the bike. We ended up finding a last minute crappy VW convertable that had the most garish paint-job imaginable & left in that. Shocker. Still, beats losing my legs I guess... :?
