As long as you have a stand or method which will allow you to get the front end off the floor the job is quite easy.
Lift the bike up, remove the clip ons, brake callipers, wheel and mud guard. Loosen off the preload cap on top of the forks, loosen off the triple clamp bolts and then slide the forks down out of the triple clap(yoke).
Completely undo the already loose preload caps and tip the forks upside down over a bucket to catch the oil and spring and there you are. Keep the fork inverted and give it a few pumps to get all the oil out and job done :D Reassemble in reverse order not forgetting the new oil and springs
As with most jobs if you have the right tools it's not a ball ache and yes it's an easy home job if you know which end of a spanner to pick up :P
