Clutch Life

Post by Beamish »

On an average storm how long would you expect the clutch to last? At 10K on my 2000 bike either the back spun up in a perfect straight line in 1st and 2nd or its a rev counter glitch or the clutch is gimped! Really weird..... it revved up to about 7k then bang right round to the stop (but no engine limiter sound or rear wheel squirm). I know it sounds a bit wierd but I need to nail the prob whilst the bikes under warranty.

Since posting that last thread I have given more thought and a lot more miles to find out it must be a rev counter issue, no engine note change (apart from the usual) and defo no back wheel spin. Anyone had rev counter issues?
