Thinking caps on fellow stormers
Need to take fork legs out on Sunday to send to Roger for his magic fix.
All you people who have done it before how do you support the bike?
I have a rear padock stand only.
Do I need to remove the yokes?
Loosen all the bolts you can first and then just do them up slightly. Then use your rear paddock stand plus a trolley jack (with a small bit on wood on it) under the sump. Be real careful and gentle, if you have loosened all the bolts then it should all come off easy without disturbin the bike stands. A mate one hand would help too (not a rubber one).
A little tip for you when I did the same as you are going to do
Use some wood/Large dowel/Broken Broom Handle to slide down the Clip ons & yokes to hold the clip-ons off the body work & the Resivors up as del says.
Dave,
2 x dowels one very short broom!
Forks on their way. If I can get the Storm to 'feel' the road like the wife's CBR600 I'll be a happy xmas bunny!
