rip off ebay postage

Post by solorider »

another case of ott postage and he wants to charge you to collect! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HONDA-VTR1000-VTR ... dZViewItem

you can get a parcel the size of 2 silencers sent for less than £10 so does the packaging cost £20?

Do what I do if you're not happy with postage costs, don't bid, move on until you find a seller who's not trying to rip you off :!: :D

Its not a rip off
Ebay charge you their percentage on the ITEM costs only, not the postage

Therefore if you expect an item to go for more than £30 start it at £1 with £30 postage rather than £20 with £10 postage

So long as it is clearly marked you just have to take it into account when deciding how much to bid
However, that tactic can backfire if someone wants to collect
I've got an inferiority complex
But its not a very good one!
