Ebay charge you their percentage on the ITEM costs only, not the postage
Therefore if you expect an item to go for more than £30 start it at £1 with £30 postage rather than £20 with £10 postage
So long as it is clearly marked you just have to take it into account when deciding how much to bid
However, that tactic can backfire if someone wants to collect
