I was advised to place a new thread for the fitment of the manual tensioner. So far I have stripped the bike down up to the point of rear CCT replacement (RT lined up with rear cam lobes outwards and CCT out) can anyone tell me the best way to set up manual tensioners? Do you have to be absolutely spot on or a Honda Yoda? Any top tips? . Me thinks I need assistance before fitting new items. Any ideas ? I am in no rush as I am waiting for the tensioners to arrive.
For info I have decided to go with the manual tensioners, if racers fit them in VTRs and CBRs then they must be reasonably reliable, a track session has got to be the best test I can think of.

Best thing I can think of is to phone or email APE. They're very helpful apparently.

If you get a few people and share postage, why not do what mazsuper and I did and order some from the USA.
Cost around half the price of UK/Europe (£40 each, no gaskets or postage) If you split it between a few people (as it wont be any different for 1 set or 5 sets) it works out around £65 for a set of two, with gaskets, postage and import duty.
They arrived within a week too.
