the shorter the can the noisier it gets, any straight through silencer can be cut down but it depends on if you have the righ rivets to put it back together

Easy to do Karl depending on the can something like blueflame evos with twin outlets are abit of a pain (i should know ive done mine but had to reweld and modify internal baffle as they split into 2 for the ports plus the baffle tapers down in size to connect the end piece.

Something like a single outlet port on a scorpian is piss easy as ive done that aswell its just a matter of drilling out the rivets, measure length, cut and re fasten with new rivets the same size if you have em oh and stainless if you can get em.

have they got a single port or twin??

yeah carbon cans can be done the same just make sure before you cut the internal baffle that it does not taper down in size to connect to the end plate otherwise when you cut it off the internal baffle will no longer connect to the end plate.
