PM sent pal,

Although it's on the button at bottom of me signature

Mike reckons yours was 50mm while his is 55mm so perhaps mine will be different again.

Perhaps I should take arm and frame to mate for him to offer it up & vernier it.

Cheers,

I think it will look more complete with the seat on mike.......i actually like the bareness of the rear....like the back of the bike is "hovering" in mid air...v-cool .... hope ya get those clearance issues sorted as it will look top.

Well that's a wiring loom and now a 'new' bottom yoke thanks to flebay.

Engineering drawings taken to mate for manufacture of suspension linkage plates.

Oonce they're done will be offering arm to frame for fit and to measure where hole needs drilling for the suspension.

Slow but still forward progress.

Graeme the hole measurement is :

50mm from edge of left side of frame and 55mm from the old hole thats hole centre to centre and is directly inline with old hole.

Mike, another way of looking at your clearance problem. Would oval cans on their side, like a 916, give you a bit more clearance than your round cans? Just a thought as I don't know how much narrower oval are compared to round.

Think they are oval cans Rich, been discussing them tonight at Squires.

I suggested just the same thing, but when discussing stacking them at one side instead of under seat.

However, he reckons with the outlets being angled one way, they'd look crap if stacked 'horizontally' so to speak. They've also got a pretty substantial weld holding them in place.

He may have come up with yet another inspirational idea though thanks to Bob.

Graeme.
