Disaster! Green left leg!

Post by Beamish »

After an absolutely fantastic ride out today I was about one mile from home and thought......hello my left leg is warm, the sun must be getting stronger.........but no....... looked down and my left leg is all shiny and green AND WET!!!!!! Arrggghhhhh........ Left rad is pi**ing coolant all over the place. On further inspection a stone has made a pin prick hole.
Ebay it is then........
Please nobody else on here have the same prob, do not need to bid against anyone as I am skint!

On a lighter note I have scrubbed the front tyre right round and past my previous best  What a nearly great day!

White of an egg

Joke!!!!!!!!!!!

Local motor factors will sell rad leak fixing additive if it's only small hole.

If its onlt a small hole use solder and fill it. Plenty of flux on there beforehand and it'll be a doddle. If you don't fancy that the any rad reair specialist will sort it in short time for not a lot of money.

I've got a boat with a volvo engine in it. The oil cooler core decided to let go letting sea water into the engine oil. A new cooler core from volvo was 350 quid. Got it repaired by sevenoaks rads for 15 quid...........

Thanks, you think the alloy rads are worth a repair? What if it fails when I am miles from home? Will look into it though. NO EGGS.......love, organic or otherwise
