rear brake caliper and coolant dribble

Post by lee67 »

decided to remove rear caliper today, to clean up ready for fitting new pads.....after always having suzuki's for the last 8 yrs or so...i need your help, on removing both pads....the pad clip srung out and i hanvt a clue how this one fits back..tried allways to no avail...not sure if mines broke, but there is a few pieces, one piece is fitted into the caliper roof, which looks split????? the second a 3cm x 3cm maybe square bit that fell out?? can anyone provide a schematic of said caliper if poss!!!!....
2nd prob....ive found a coolant dribble, coming from left side, somehwere at back of coolant bottle...but cant see proper due to amount of pipes/cables etc..wondered if anyone has any idea's cheers

the part is number 6....lookign at those pics, it sits in the caliper bracket hanger thingymabob???..can someone confirm this, oh and bob i did take out back bolt, hoping to swing caliper up, but there was that much crap in there with no copper grease used in god knows how many years it wouldnt budge..so i had to take 2nd bolt out and knock the caliper up to dislodge it....once i put this part back its done for 12 months or so
