Crankshaft hole cap/inspection hole cap Stuck fast..

Post by Dazjm »

Any tips on how to get em off, without destroying either tool or cap?

A case of spraying liberally with "anti stuck fast spray"?

Yep.Made of cheese. I used a centre punch to shift mine but you need a new one if you've tried an allen key first as it will have chewed up the hole

Does anyone know if i should have a gathering of engine oil behind the inspection hole cover? I took the fron off the alternator/stator cover thingy, and obviously oil was gathering on the bottom of the flywheel, and coating the stator.

Is this normal?
