Bike Video Systems

Post by Styler4077 »

Looking to video some bike rides, so... whay do I get?

Like a small seperate camera so I could record different angles and a solid state recorder.

Any one got as set up like this or can suggest a set up.

Regards,

Depends on how much money you want to spend I guess.
Just in case of a 'drop/knock-off' I didn't want too much on show as it could be argued that this constituted a potential hazard ie. that it was YOU instead of the cager that wasn't paying attention.

Saying that, I use an ATC2K on the side of my VTR.
Sound quality is not too bad if you blank the built-in mic socket a bit with pvc tape as wind noise can be a problem.

Lots of stuff on you tube.

Best advice is to use a really fast SD card. I use a SanDisk Extreme III 2gb one. Gives 50 minutes at top quality.

Mike,

Nice toy, :D but pretty sure that initially at least (current outlets) you will be tied to a particularly expensive O2 contract. :(
