Next time you put the bike on the Optimate, remember to switch it on, or next time you go to start the bike in a couple of weeks the battery will be flatter than it would have been if you hadn't connected it at all.

Doh!

my bike wasnt started in 5 weeks..started 1st prod on sunday :wink: ..never ever used an optimate...make sure the battery connections are tight, and cover em in vaseline!!....

Yep, they will, but if you connect an Optimate but don't plug it in in just sucks the powe out of the battery big style.
