finished with the storm for this yr .
final bit was the belly pan which i sprayed black and fitted yesterday(not the best paint job)
let me know what you lot think of black??i was going to do it yellow ,but saw a yellow one and thought it was to much
bits so far then:
full akrapovic exhaust + dynojetted carbs and k+n filter to match.
maxton rear shock
pfm front brake set up
custom seat
modifed swinging arm with r1 brace and real carbon hugger and underslung caliper
straight bars (comfy)-with tomtom sat nav fitted to bars
sp2 front brake master cylinder+lever
skint now......but next yr i would like
manual cct"s
forks to be done .
then i think that will do and i will be happy.
i know it does not add value to my bike ,but in happy for the time being.and for once im not thinking of getting rid of my bike like i always do!!!really looking forward to a good trouble free 2008 on the storm.
happy hols evereyone.

Looking good there m8y
Just a point
in your pic the front braded brake pipe looks as if it you have one pipe from the master cylinder to the right calliper then runs from that calliper to the other over the mudguard if so you have them set up wrong.
it should be individual pipe from the master cylinder using the long banjo connection to each of the callipers otherwise the right calliper will always come on first then the left.

timbo:
ive got a mfw top yoke converter to fit the bars, just fits on top of the honda one and you fit whatever bars you like(£5 of ebay he he bargain!!!)
i did have to cut some of my top fairing though,as do alot of owners
(i think)
but i have tried to keep the shape ,and im used to it now(been like it for 4 months now)will send you a pic if you want?
as for the belly pan ,i think it needs a couple of stickers???
high level pipes ,been there done it and got rid,had scorpion pipes on when i first got the storm, but everytime i got on a bit, the rear of my foot would touch the pipe and melt on the link pipes(dont know if it was just my set??or they all do that??some makes look as if they bend far enogh back as not to interfear with your feet.
steve:
i bought the swinging arm of dipper, and i love it .
it did used to belong to sij who posts on here from time to time.and he told me nev at f1moto made it all at a cost of £450.
in fact all my other goodies came my way via sij as he was getting rid of all of his goodies.
warby +mike:
as for the brakes i dont really know if this set up is right or wrong????
i went out and tried them ,
did about 10 miles when i first fitted them ,and they felt super, but if they are set up wrong???? i would like to know
cheers for all the replies guys!!

The biggest problem with this setup is that air rises in the fluidFirestormMike wrote:I know where you're coming from warby, theres got to be a reason why racers use the 2 equal lines set up (and thats what I have on mine btw). It looks way better too.
Any air in the right line will rise up to the master cylinder and escape
Any air in the left line will sit on top of the mudguard in the highest point
Consequently the left brake will not work as well
Also getting this air out again is a pig and involves removing the brake caliper
The reason manufacturers persist with it as standard is that they save 6" of hose on every bike they sell. Not worth much individually but over a million bikes it adds up
Mike,
The reason why racers do not use this setup is in the aftermath of a fatal crash at the end of the long straight at Brands a few years ago
Basically the guy had this setup and his mudguard came off. As it went it ripped the brake hose with it so at the end of the straight -no brakes!

I've got an inferiority complex
But its not a very good one!
