Which wheels will fit VTR1000 FV ?

Post by Isacc »

Dear All

As a proud owner of a 10 year old, 56,000 mile VTR, I'm looking at the possibility of just tarting her up a tad. I like the 5 spoke wheel design that was fitted to the Honda Fireblade in 2000 (or whenever it went to a 17" front) and I wondered if anybody has every tried to fit this type of Fireblade wheel to an Storm ?..Thought they might be a little lighter as well, which will help when I try and muscle it around Cadwell again next year...

Thanks in anticipation for any help and Happy New Year to you all..

regards

Moi

Hi Mike

My apologies, I knew it was called a Penta wheel and as I pootled along to a New Year's Eve shingdig thought, Penta means six cos Centa would be five. Anyway enough of the ramblings..

Sounds like it may be worth a try if the rear fits....

Thanks for the reply....

Penta means five, cos Hexa means six.

Pentagon - five sided shape.
Hexagon - six sided shape.

Oh toss, you're right, my brains addled...look you know the ones I mean, there the fiddler ones that were fitted to the Fireblade in 2000 / 2001... I claim New Year's Eve as a worthy defence ...I'd post a picture of the ones I mean if I knew how....

How to post a pic:

1. put it in the gallery and link to it
2. host it offsite (ie on another website) and put a link to it.

The 2000/2001 blade wheels wont fit the vtr forks plus you would need the discs and calipers and sort a spindle or get one made to fit the vtr forks 2000 and 2001 is the 929 blade. The blade wheels that fit are the 97/98, nc30 front, cbr600 fi3to4, vfr 800 front pre vtec, couple of others but i cant remember but i have posted a list on here before.
