alarm immobilisers
loads a replies, good stuff,
whereabouts in Ayrshire are you cuppa .. ? Im just outside sunny Ayr :L
Alarms, yip agree with everybody about these really, rather secure it some other way that i know wont short circuit and leave me pushin it miles back down the motorway or something equally dangerous .. !
My car alarm is ridiculously sensitive and it almost always wails its head off when parked about the town .. and within a second of startn the storm, of course .. so aye bit academic ..
But a talking bike and remote start to scare the sh1t out of the admirers, great laugh to watch ... (park the bike literally right outside my office on a busy street !! :L )
Anyway see what money there is in the budget after cans, chain, hugger,
etc
I must have the only totally standard 10 yr old storm out there !
So nobody seen / got a good under seat exhaust system .. would need some heavy mods to the undertray, but considering in ..
Cheers folks hope to see some of ye on the easter egg run (Yorkhill Sick Kids Hospital Glasgow) .. over 7000 bikes last year apparently

Don't think she was went but I know here sister was in it. I'm giving too much away here.
If you keep cows the you'll have been in Russell house, she used to work there.
I've seen a storm parked up in Killy before and a SP1 in Ayr a couple of times before, apart from that not that many around.

HI Ya Geordie
Welcome Aboard
Missed your original post so it's a Belated welcome I'm afraid
As for alarms, I'm with most of the others, don't bother.
Get yourself a nice big chain. Some are approved and you will get a discount on your insurance so it's a good option.
If I was into nicking bikes (which I'm not) I know I'd by pass one that had a chain and go for the one I could just set off the alarm and chuck in a van.

Geordie,
1. Welcome
2. Underseat exhaust: Stormsmasher has one on his -effin loud and screws the fuelling but looks pretty.
His mate used to work for Art and has setup in business on his own making exhausts etc.
http://www.jacexhausts.co.uk/
I know a few people have used him and been very impressed by the service/ price etc
3. Alarms. Wouldnt bother. Cheapest piece of mind solution would be to get a PAYG mobile phone and wire it in to charge under the seat
Then if the bike disappears you can track it
