handling problem

Post by solorider »

a while back i posted of a handling problem in that while going slow and turning right the bike felt like it was on rails, well looking at my front tyre there looks like a flat area that goes all the way around the tyre on the right side,in the pic the right side is at the top
Image
sory about the pic quality but it was taken with a camera phone using the zoom and flash,do you think this is what is causing my problem?

From that pic I suggest using a bike tyre rather than an unfinished Van Gogh painting.
I can't make sense of that one at all!!!
Sounds to me like a different rubber density in that strip. Not unheard of but tyre manufactureres don't tend to shout about it of course!!!!

Bridgestones do seem a bit prone to that sort of wear, and it is also quite dependant on riding style
If you're prone to going into corners with the throttle shut (and maybe the brakes one) it will greatly exacerbate the problem

Looks to me like the previous owner liked his roundabouts a bit much but never really got it leant over

Get it changed and you'll be fine
I've got an inferiority complex
But its not a very good one!
