tax disc holder where the hell to put it ..

Any ideas .. ?

only thing i got to do before i can get her back on the road after a mega clean up, new sprockets (16 43)chain and respray of bellypan ..

best place i can see is just under the front of the seat on the left side, maybe drill another hole in the stell seat frame and bolt it to the inside facing out ??
any pics of discrete installs ?

I've got mine in the same place as timbos n lees, but bolted to the front exhaust hanger point.

Actually, I have just been working on the 'Storm and found I have moved it forward from that position I show in the pic just by pivoting it on that retaining bolt. It then 'nestles' nicely in the curve of the exhaust hanger really well. Might stay drier there Geeves?

Also I realise that since that pic was taken last year the Scott Oiler line has moved (along with the S.O. main resevoir) and the footpegs are different ones too. Suddenly realise all the changes one makes to ones bike in the course of a few months!!!

In 8 years I've never had it affixed on the bike, I buy it and put it straight in my warm, dry and safe documents folder.

Never had a problem, as it seems with the computerisation of all the details now all they need is the reg and it will flag up if its lapsed (Same for MOT and Insurance as all these details are on a central database). Though I 'spose the letter of the law would say I stand a significant fine for not displaying it in prime view of thieving scallywags

I laminate my tax discs as soon as I get them, rain n damp is no problem then

Yep, that's its proper registration, but I bought it off eBay! It is all registered on that one now etc.
Wanted to make the bike 'older' so was going to buy an ordinary 3 number 3 letter old registration but once I saw this one I thought I'd have to have it as UXB (UneXploded Bomb) was a great registration for an Army bike!

Failing to display can land you a fine off an over zealous traffic warden, but I agree that you shouldnâ€™t really have to now, not with the computer registration the DVLA have.

I donâ€™t bother anymore. Iâ€™ve had 2 tax discs/holders nicked over the last 12 months when the bikes been parked up and now Iâ€™ve not bothered putting the new one back on.

I know a lot of folk that either keep them under the seat or in their wallet.

EXACTLY!!!

Traffic wardens who fine you for that are surely going to reside in a warmer place soon anyway!
