GFK Belly Pan?

Post by Beamish »

Did we ever get any feedback relating to the cheap German belly pan fitment (GKK at £35)? Has anyone had one delivered and actually fitted it? I am aware of one member that took one look and threw it away but are they really that bad?

It seems one made it to the shed floor, but no word from Andy1671, the original poster.
Thanks buddy, its that thread I am hoping to boost along a bit, £35 seems like it may be worth the grief of making a bracket and spray to suit.

Hi fellas
sorry not to have followed up recently but not quite finished yet .Up to now i have managed three mounting points the first picks up on the original mount on the right side of the bike the second has a bracket made of 4mm plate ally cut to 20mm wide and bent in an arc to fit to the front original mount the third again has a bracket made from the same plate this is in a U shape and is about 30mm long with 20mm ends(if that makes sense) this picks up on a screw from the sump i have used captive m6 nuts( that i found at work) it seems quite stable with just three but i will have to see when it is painted and back on the road.On the subject of paint would any body know the paint code for the BLUE storm i cant find it anywhere on the machine
Hope this helps i will try to put pictures up but i am not a computer wizz so i am not promising
Timbo i am only down the road from you in skem so if you wanted to see it when it is finished i will pop up and show you
