Breakdown cover - recommendations?

Post by i_love_twins »

Just got a quote for insurance, and this is the first time it doesn't have breakdown cover attached, so any suggestions please. I know that AA and RAC both do bike cover, but has anyone used them before? Also, is there any chance of European cover with any of them? last time I toured, it certainly helped put my mind at rest on a couple of occasions.
cheers in advance

Have a look on motorcyclenews.com
They have a bike breakdown cover that they and Ride recomnend.
If you have got a car and bike they type of cover the AA and Rac offer cover the person and not the vehicle. Therefore you have breakdown cover what ever transport you are useing, wheather it's your or someone elses. You could just be a pasenger in a car that breaks down and you would be covered.

Probably a bit late ... but the AA everytime .. prompt picked up and shifted from an awkwards spot .. bike taken first to home and then to my folks after a crash!
really decent bloke picked up all of the placcie bits he could find and made it all as painless as he could for me .. including helping me put the bike into the garage and stuff.

they get my vote!
