headsets / intercoms

Post by Geordie »

Hi there, what has been everyones experience with intercoms / headsets and PMR radios to communicate between bikes on the road .. ?
What are the best designs / makes of earpiece and microphone units .. ?
I have a pair of small PMR radios, and would like to connect them to a suitable headset mounted inside the helmet (full face). I know you can get all singing all dancing mp3, etc .. not interested, just a simple bike to bike setup ..
Cheers
George

ive got the complete setup.....autocom unit under seat, plugged into an oxford bike to bike radio...plugged into an mp3 player and sat nav....all leads hidden and goes into helmet under the padding.....works great upto 140 mph....i always got laughed at, when stopped at traffic lights with m8's cos i was singing away in my helmet....alltho i havnt fitted it back into storm...i tend to change bikes alot, and havnt had the time to fit into storm yet..but if u want clear audio, then u cant beat an autocom unit...not cheap tho
