goodridge hose routeing

Post by markg »

Hi all,
have just fitted goodridge hoses to my 'storm.
I routed the front lines the same way as the original rubber hose and it all seems to work ok now i've bled it.
My only concern is with two hoses instead of one coming from the master cylinder, the pipes foul quite a bit on the clocks/fairing on full lock either way, mainly on the clocks at full left lock.
Is this normal? sorry to be so paranoid :?

It can depend on the top end fittings
Mine has a straight fitting and a 45 degree one meaning they can both be in line
I also had to cut off the locating tab on the master cylinder
Then cable tied the pipes to the fork leg so there's no conflict

Hope this helps -if reqd let me know and I'll sort some pics
I've got an inferiority complex
But its not a very good one!

Thanks Ben, my top end fittings are the same.
I had the thought of cutting off the locating tab but wasn't sure if it was a good idea. Maybe thats what I will do now. I have p clipped the hoses to the yokes like the oe hoses were.
I think I know what you mean with the cable ties but a photo would be great just to confirm it.
Thanks again :)

Cut that tab off today like you sugested, makes a world of difference, hoses sit where they want to now.
