how much!!!!!!

Post by patty »

thought i would treat the storm to a new set of tyres this morning......................

that was until he told me the price
wanted to fit a new set of bridgestone 014"s

special tyres for firestorms ,the bridgestone book says so....
£249 .........

im not paying that ,so the storm will have to have something else.
the guy did say on the phone that bridgestone say you should not have any other 014 fitted to your storm execpt these special ones(the same ones as the new gixer 750)
so i dont know why this is........anyone?????

Which are the tyres with that centre harder section and softer edges (other than race slicks!!!)?

Thanks FSM
I must ride far too upright for too long 'cos my 21's are wearing in the centre still. Must put about 80 PSI into the rear to re-round the profile...................................... JOKE! 8O

I have found a guy that will drive his van up to the house drop the wheels, fit two 021's, balance and refit wheels to bike for £195. The 014's would have been £185. £249 sounds like a rip off to me 8O 8O

I had a pair of BT021's fitted at Micheldever Tyres the week before last, only cost £200 - Ride In & Ride Out. They're not far from you and I've yet to find a way of beating their prices for Bike or car tyres.
2000 Honda VTR1000 Firestorm - SOLD
2009 Triumph Tiger 1050 - from two cylinders to three!

thats where i always go for mine,

same price you got then
£200 for the 021's
£249 for the 014's
stil seems alot of money for 2 bloody tyres
(when some have been know to wear theres out in less than 1000 miles)

Micheldever Tyres were good way back in 1995 when I had my Lotus Esprit S3. No-one else could get close cost wise and they spent about an hour an a half sorting the tracking etc for about 15 quid (tyres were extra ha ha)!!!!
