Hi all New one here

Post by okcoky »

Hi guys just joined the website and have just got a vtr myself, its a used one with 14000 on the clock and is beautiful.I pick it up next week.I have have a couple of questions, how do you get pics up on here and i have high level micron cans what i wanna keep, but with these cans the original footpegs have had to go,is there any aftermarket pegs that will go through the exhaust hanger with these cans? The reason i ask is the missus wants to come on the back if you excuse the pun.

Welcome matey! No idea about the pegs! You can upload your pics by loading them onto photobucket (free to join) then click the "Img" button above and paste the link. Press the "Img" button again and you are done. Press preview to make sure that you have not uploaded piccies of your missus draped over the tank and you are there!

Enjoy the site

You can get spacers that allow the footpegs to go over the exhausts. IMHO that lok a bit crap but do the job. I got some from hein gereck a few yrs back for high level remus cans and they cost about £35 if i remember rightly!

That'll be the turncoats up early again.... ...only kidding we love you all, even the green bike riders.

welcome aboard, if you do a search there are a few topics about this, some people use long sockets as spacers....there aren't any aftermarket pegs available that i'm aware of, it sounds like you don't have the origionals but ebay can be your friend.

thanks for the welcome people.I have the original pegs and cans but it means taking the exhaust off and refitting old ones if she wants tocum on the back.Would be a bit of a pain. Also when putting old new cans/pipes on do you have to use silicon or somethig to stop them blowing.Excuse all the questions but anit been on a bike for 13 years lol and last was an rgv 250.One last one, where can you get black exhaust downpipe paint from? Thanks again guys.

Welcome aboard Okcoky :!: :D

IMO you don't want to paint your downpipes (headers) if that's what you want the paint for, see link:-
